Exhibition Mentors Needed!

Please consider supporting a grad this year in the Exhibition process. Our emphasis this year is on THE JOURNEY and on kids taking meaningful action.  We are reminding them that this is an Exhibition of who they have become as a learner and a young person, not a research paper...

If you would like to support a child, contact Andrea.

Information:
  • We will hold a brief mentor training/overview session
  • intermediate teachers and Andrea will support you as you support our kids
  • You will have a guidebook to help you on your mentor journey
  • The goal is to meet once a week, every week, during May and June
  • Exhibition Day (presentations/showcase of learning) is June 19th from 9:00-11:00am at QUEST

Please consider this rewarding opportunity to authentically connect with a child! Our grads thank you for your time!

Lockdown

We will have an unannounced lockdown in the next two weeks. You will know it is a drill because I will read: "this is a drill, this is a drill..." at the start of the announcement. Please be sure to review lockdown and evacuation procedures with your students, including what they would do if this were to occur when they are not in your classroom: lunch, in the hall, etc.

This drill will also occur with Navigate, as we did last time as well.

Navigate

Our CIA on March 27th is a training on Navigate with Dave Inzana. All are welcome and we will be having it in the auditorium so there is more room. We will start at 7:45 am.

Dave plans on working closely with QUEST so that we can work on the kinks in the system. We had incredible participation last time, and being close to his office, we are the right school to explore how to best make it work. Please make sure you either have it on your phone or know how to get to it on the school laptop/device.

Looking Ahead

RtI Nugget: "It is not just if you collaborate, it is what you collaborate about!"

Our boy, Mattos, requested to have a few words with us for the weekly nugget.
