Looking Ahead (Month 1)

Welcome Back

Team,

Welcome back to the 19-20 school year. Below are a few reminders as we embark upon a new year.

  • Please fill out an info. sheet in the office. The info. sheets will be shared in the staff lounge in a binder, and can be used at your discretion.
  • For the start of the year, students will need to stay off the soccer fields and other areas marked with caution tape. We will be getting new goals and will be rotating the field once in a while to ensure that the field stays in good health. This was all because a few students wanted to take action!
  • For those who are new, please be sure to check the blog weekly for updates. I will email the link each Friday.
  • No team meetings the first week of school. We will get rolling with level meetings the week of September 9th.
  • On the first day, we will meet in the aud. for a school-wide meeting at 10 am. This will be a welcome back and will include a hello to students and a video message made by us! :)

WE MADE IT

Team,
We made it! Not only did we make it, we thrived this year. Our school always has been and always will be family. We won't always see eye to eye. We won't always be able to be positive in every moment. We won't always wear a smile...but we know that our purpose is greater than any bad moment, and together we make a difference in this world. WE are QUEST!

As a school, we have something really special cooking within our walls. Take this summer to rejuvenate, completely shut down...don't even open work email or walk through these doors for a while. Be relentless about self-care and do everything you can to reconnect with your personal or professional why.

I am grateful to work alongside you. Awesome year. THANK YOU!

ENJOY

Reminders

  • We are not sending home progress reports. Instead, they need to be emailed to Hannah so that we can coordinate the upload with Tom. Parents will be able to view via backpack. We will remind them of this in the June Q + A.
  • Please be sure all your data is in edoctrina. Look back at past semesters to find holes. Last year some had missed inputting an assessment or two, so just double check that all your assessments are in there.
  • Placement letters go home June 12th or 13th. Placement should remain confidential until then.
  • Investigation manipulatives are staying. We are taking all the teacher books nad student workbooks. Please be sure that these are out and on a table in your room.
  • Please make sure we have an electronic copy of your supply list...it should be no more than 25 dollars per student.
  • Keep plugging: we are the best school in America!

Looking ahead...but not too far!
