FYI from Andrea:
Hello QUEST Staff! I wanted to let you know that the following survey has been sent to parents to gain their feedback regarding our implementation of the PYP. Classroom teachers, please promote this survey in your newsletters if possible!
Dear QUEST Parents/Guardians,
How are we doing? Every five years IB schools complete a "Self Study" to evaluate the implementation of the IB Primary Years Programme. We first self reflect with staff, students, administrators, and parents, and then IB visitors come to our school to see if our own findings - commendations and recommendations - are in line with what they witness. Each time we evaluate ourselves, we want to know what parents/guardians have to say! Please be as honest and thorough as possible. Your answers will be anonymous, but please know you can contact us at any time with comments and questions regarding the IB at QUEST! (Andrea's info: ageglia@hilton.k12.ny.us or 585-392-1000 x6195)
Please click on this Google Forms link to share your thoughts.
We appreciate your time!

Progress Report For End of Year
This year for the final marking period, we will NOT be printing progress reports. Instead, they will be available to parents via the Back Pack on IC. This was communicated last year on several occasions to parents, and a reminder will be placed in the May or June Q and A.
Below is what the top of your progress report should looks like:
StudentID : (then write the actual number including any 0's). See the picture below. consistency is HUGE, so please make sure they look like the picture.

-When filling them out, add the student ID in a consistent way. Hannah or Dawn can help you in finding their student ID's. See picture below for example of where you would write the student ID in.
-Save them last name, then first name (Warren, Derek).
-Email them to Hannah, or share your folder where they are with Hannah. These will be uploaded.
Progress reports are due by the end of business, to Hannah, by June 20th. They will be live to parents on the 25th (last day).
Please reach out with questions.

Good if you have Netflix...
Team,
This week I shared this title with the office team and thought you all might enjoy it. I recently viewed a Netflix special called the Call to Courage. This special is based on the work of researcher Brenee Brown, and she hits on topics related to courage, vulnerability, and what that means in the workplace or in our relationships. It is worth the watch, and applies directly to human nature and what we want from our kids. In my eyes, the content and her advice is refreshing, research driven, and honest. I think many of you would enjoy it.

Staff Meeting=Change of Plans!
Team,
Have you ever read your class and then said: "okay, this plan is out the door. They need THIS right now." As a leader, you try to do the same thing. This coming Tuesday we are slotted for having a CIA meeting. The goal of the meeting was to have us reflect on our Culture, provide me feedback, and to do a quick reflection on Executive Functioning. We were going to have a walk and reflect meeting where we moved and reflected. I love the idea of a walking meeting, but will try it next year because right now, with the end of the year stress and realization hitting us, we need to have some time to breathe and reflect on our own.
With that being said, we are not formally meeting on Tuesday morning for our CIA. Instead, I ask that you please reflect using the two links below. The first one is the same survey you took last year. The second one is reflecting on Executive Functioning. Both will be viewed by SIT.
A note on reflecting about me: When I submit a survey to you all to provide me feedback this is not shared with SIT. This confidential survey is for me and it requires me really putting myself out there. I do, however, share it with Dr. Kosiorek as he is my supervisor. Please note that like last year, it is an optional survey should you not be comfortable giving me ratings.
Please complete these surveys in place of attending a staff meeting Tuesday am. Or, complete this weekend should your heart so desire.
